James joined RFA with years of Capitol Hill experience in a variety of roles. He most recently served as a Research Assistant for the House Budget Committee, and prior to that, he served as a Legislative Correspondent for Representative Jake LaTurner (R-KS) and a Legislative Aide for Representative Jim Hagedorn (R-MN).
At the House Budget Committee, James contributed to writing the House’s fiscal year 2024 budget, prepared the Director of Budget review for his hearing testimony, and provided congressional offices reports on topics ranging from monetary policy to federal spending oversight to tax policy. James worked closely with economists and policymakers to gain a deep understanding of the legislative process and its effects on the American people at both the micro and macro levels.
James graduated from the University of Virginia with a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs.
